Karen and her husband, Mike, moved to Waxhaw, a suburb of Charlotte about 6 years ago from Pittsburgh. They have two daughters at home, Jasmine and Kalena and two german shepherds, Laila and Arya. Their son, Jalen, is a D-1 baseball player at Monmouth University in New Jersey. When he’s not at school, practicing or working out, Jalen works as an assistant for Homes by Karen & Co. Karen and her family are avid Pittsburgh sports fans, rooting for the Pirates, Penguins, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before moving to the Charlotte area and becoming a real estate advisor, Karen worked for 14 years in the Social Service industry as a Juvenile Probation Officer and Child Services Caseworker. In this role, Karen worked closely with families who needed assistance with maintaining the family unit and helping at-risk youths work through delinquent issues to become productive members of the community. Karen is no stranger to loyalty, confidentiality, and working for the best interest of her clients. Having worked with clients at the worst possible time of their lives, Karen looks forward to helping clients through the joy of homeownership.

Since becoming a real estate advisor, Karen has worked with many families and clients on achieving their dream of homeownership. Karen is a trusted real estate advisor who provides her clients with expertise in the current real estate market trends and negotiations while maintaining positive and professional relationships with lenders, preferred vendors, and real estate attorneys necessary to successfully close real estate transactions for her clients.
