Enjoying Haunted Houses and Trails Around Charlotte

Finding great things to do for Halloween throughout Charlotte isn't difficult. There are plenty of fun events and plenty of haunted houses and trails. If you love to be scared, you'll want to hit up this entire list of incredible haunted houses and trails this Halloween season.

Before we go any further, it's important to note, these choice are not for the faint at heart. You will have to be the judge of whether your children are old enough for the haunts or if they should wait another year or two. Here's the list of the top haunted houses and trails found throughout Charlotte.

BoogerWoods

Rated at the most entertaining haunt in the Carolinas, BoogerWoods should be very high on your list. It has won several awards and the original Flatback is back, making it even better this year. No matter the weather, BoogerWoods will be open on October 26th & 27th and November 2nd & 3rd.

Tickets are $20 for general admission or $30 for fast pass admission. Make sure to bring cash, as they don't take cards.

The Haunted Mill

Another incredible haunted attrition is the Haunted Mill. This is actually a 120-year-old Mill and includes a total of three attractions including The Haunted Mill, Escape Rooms at the Mill and Purple Planet 3D Golf.

The Haunted Mill is open October 24th through 31st and will open on November 2nd and 3rd for the Black-Out Weekend, which is an All lights OFF Tour!

Tickets prices are as follows:

  • Haunted Mill - $16 for adults, $10 for kids
  • Haunted Combo (Includes 3D Mini Golf) $20 for adults and $13 for kids
  • R.I.P. Pass (Skip the Line) - $35 for adults and $20 for kids

Booger Jim's Hollow

Found in Blacksburg, SC, this haunted house and trail has been around since 2006. It's hoe of the scariest and takes the legend of Booger Jim to a whole new level. There are actually two attractions: the Haunted House and the Haunted Trail.

Booger Jim's Hollow will be open on October 26th, 27th, 28th and 31st. They will also be open on November 2nd and 3rd. General admission is $15 and you can get a no-touch medallion for $5. Find out more about Booger Jim's Hollow on their website here.

Hickory Grove Haunted Trail

For more than two decades the Hickory Grove Haunted Trail has been scaring people in Charlotte. It's one of the oldest haunted attractions in the area and provides plenty of scary fun for those looking to be frightened.

Dr. Evil's Haunted Houses

Found at the World Famous Morris Costumes, you can get your costume and get scared all in one place. This is one of the top haunted houses in the Charlotte area with every room looking like a Hollywood Movie Set! A total of eight haunted scenes await with plenty of new things to see. Admission is $18 and you can get a $3 coupon from their website here.

Forbidden Forest Horror Trail

Only open for 5 nights this year, the Forbidden Forest Horror Trail is one of the scariest trails in Charlotte. Enjoy the spooks on October 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th, and 31st. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $30 for fast pass. Find out more on their website here.
