Every fall, the Hola Charlotte Festival happens at Charlotte Center City. It's the largest Hispanic Heritage event in Charlotte and has been running for seven years straight. Thanksgiving Day Parade - Late Fall

While it's not exactly a festival, the atmosphere is very much like a festival for the parade. Known as one of the best holiday parades in Charlotte, the Thanksgiving Day Parade may also be one of the best in the country. The parade celebrates more than 70 years of holiday memories as it started in 1947.

The event was once a small-town event and it has grown into a massive parade perfect for families and friends to enjoy together. Usually, the parade includes close to 20 floats, more than 10 huge balloons, about 15 marching bands and more than 10 performing acts. St. Patrick's Day brings with it two huge events at Charlotte Center City. The St. Patrick's Day Parade kicks off the Charlotte Goes Green Festival making this holiday one you won't want to miss. The event includes something for all ages with plenty of Irish music, bagpipers, Irish dancers and more. Plenty of authentic food and drink will be on hand and a children's amusement area keeps the younger ones entertained.

Coca-Cola Speed Street - Late Spring

Including racing's brightest stars, the Coca-Cola Speed Street event offers a festival with plenty for those in Charlotte to enjoy. It's an experience you won't want to miss with live entertainment, some of the best in racing taking the track in the Coca-Cola 600 and so much more.

The actual festival takes place on Tryon Street in Uptown and includes plenty for the entire family. Vendors will be on hand, plenty of kid's activities will be a part of the event and so much more. Music includes local, regional and national acts taking the stage at Romare Bearden Park, as well.

Taste of Charlotte - Early Summer

A huge food festival held in Charlotte, this three-day event includes more than 100 samples from restaurants in the area, plenty of live entertainment and so much more. It's one of the biggest festivals held at Charlotte Center City and it's perfect for the entire family.

The event includes cooking demonstrations, children's activities, shopping, street performances and much, much more. It's a free event to attend and happens on Tryon Street every year.
