Myers Park, was at one time a 1,200-acre farm originally owned by John Spring Myers. Development of Myers Park began in 1905 by Myers' son-in-law, George Stephens. Myers Park was designed in 1905 by John Nolen and the George Stephens Company originally to form a streetcar community. This would allow the residents of the community to walk to the streetcar lines to commute, as well as, allowing visitors to be able to make a loop through the neighborhood. By looking at a modern map of the area, you can see the loop that makes the street grid  layout of Myers Park different than areas.

Today, Myers Park is a thriving community filled with boutique shops, gourmet grocery stores, and High-End Dining, as well as, beautifully crafted new and historic homes.
